The road to parenthood has been long and hard for Giuliana and Bill Rancic, but now the light has finally shine at the end of the tunnel.

On Wednesday, the couple welcomed their first child, son Edward Duke, via gestational surrogacy in Denver.

E! News has reported that the couple stayed through the entire four-hour birth of their son, which includes Bill cutting the umbilical cord following the birth, and Giuliana holding "the little guy" for the very first time.

"What a wonderful early anniversary present for such a deserving couple" Style, the cable network airing Giuliana & Bill, said in their statement. "We are so happy that Giuliana and Bill's fairytale story is finally complete, and we look forward to seeing what adventures their future will bring."
