At the Republican National Convention held in the city of Tampa, Florida, Mr. Romney won the vote threshold required 1144 after the voting of the 2286 delegates from 50 states, the District of Columbia DC and the U.S. territories.

Republican Party on 29/8 officially nominated former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney as the party's presidential candidate ran on a chair the White House with incumbent President Barack Obama in the election early in November.
