Tom Cruise had to borrow money to pay for his meals in St Albans

It was a real embarrassment for Hollywood actor Tom Cruise when he realized that he did not have enough money on him to pay for a £220.85 plus an almost £80 tip for meals in St Albans.

The incident has been reported in telegraph.co.uk of dated 25th of August 2012.

He had his 19-year old daughter Isabella with him and ordered fish and chicken starters and two lobster dishes for his party apart from two chicken tikka masalas, two lamb dishes, along with rice and bread sides.

The total cost came to £220.85.

It seems the restaurant at St Peter's Street did not accept American Express credit cards and Tom Cruise, the ‘Mission Impossible’ star did not have enough cash on him.

50-year old Tom Cruise was in the Leavesden studios shooting for the movie ‘All You Need Is Kill’ with Emily Blunt.
