This week on “Stars Earn Stripes” the six remaining celebrities and their operators must face their third mission – Rapid Detonation.
Before he issued new mission orders Generaltold the teams that he was impressed with their performances so far.
General Clark told the teams that cutting off an enemy’s supply is vital in any mission and that was the premise for the next exercise when the teams would have to secure a landing zone, take out a fuel depot, and destroy an ammunition bunker before evacuating via helicopter.
As with previous exercises the teams would be using live ammunition for the mission.
First up were Eve, Grady, Dean, and Chris who set the bar high with a mission time of 5:30.
Next up were Picabo, Brent, Todd, and JW who had a mission time of 7:19.
Last up were Laila, Talon, Nick, and Tom with a mission time of 8:55.
While there were no difficulties with the mission itself this week, the teams did encounter a little trouble with hitting the targets.
Since they had the slowest mission time Laila and Nick had to face off in the shootout. It was Nick’s second time in the shootout. This week the metal strip holding the dynamite was replaced with a rope. Laila and Nick fired at almost the same moment but it was Nick whose target fell and destroyed the dynamite and ensuring his spot in next week’s show.
Laila and Talon were eliminated from the competition. Laila’s charity was the Military Child Education Coalition.
Talon and his wife were expecting their first child and only two days after being eliminated his daughter Sienna Rene was born.
Next week the five remaining teams will face off in the season finale of “Stars Earn Stripes” and compete for the grand prize of $100,000 for the celebrity’s chosen charity.
