
Mogadishu: President of the Somali Transitional Federal Government, Sharif Sh. Ahmed, premier, Abdiweli Mohamed Ali and parliament speaker, Sharif Hassan and the interim parliament speaker, Gen. Muse Hassan have today on Monday had talks with delegates from European Union who arrived in the Somali capital Mogadishu, reports said.
President Sharif Sh. Ahmed and other roadmap signatories whose term ended had talks with European Union representative for foreign policy affair, Catherine Ashton.
The meeting by Somali leaders and with European delegation was aimed at Completing the Roadmap to End the Somali Transition and as well as the remaining parts of the new Somali federal parliament.
There is still dispute over parliament selection and roadmap signatories overshadowed differences at this critical condition and the division came as technical selection committee refused 16 members join to the new federal parliament as they are former warlords.
Apposite press release and conference made by roadmap signatories in the Somali capital Mogadishu and in Garowe,the headquarter of the autonomous regions of Puntland state and called for IGAD, UN and rest of the international community to interfere the situation.
This comes as the election of the new federal parliament speaker is due to be held tomorrow on Tuesday and the international community repeated several times their concern over this issue and ending the transitional period saying that no other delay would not be accepted.
