The government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has banned, till further orders, hiring of special community police all over the province. The provincial government had hired special community police in different districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa including Peshawar and Malakand but these police personnel will be sacked next year after completion of the tenure of their service. The government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa delayed the decision of regularising them owing to their poor performance. On the other hand, the authorities have approved of recruiting police in all the districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and regularising them after the recruitment.
