On 26/8, name of Badruddin Haqqani, one of the senior leaders of the militant Haqqani network, may have been killed in a massive air strike by U.S. unmanned aircraft in Pakistan's North Waziristan in the state this week .

However, another leader of the Haqqani is Maulvi Ahmed Jan rejected the said information and said that members of this network were killed as a distant cousin of Osama Bin Laden, who had been U.S. special forces killed in 2011.
