
Double Olympic gold medal winning athlete, Mo Farah, is now the father of two baby girls after his wife gave birth to twins. Mo was present for the birth and is said to be ecstatic and overwhelmed.
The world watched on when Farah's heavily pregnant wife, Tanya, ran on to the track at after Mo had won his first gold medal just three weeks ago in London. After his second gold he told the press that he was dedicating his medals to his, as then unborn, daughters.
This morning, Saturday 25 Aug, Farah spoke at a Birmingham press conference saying: "My wife has been holding on so long and it's great that she held on this long and didn't give birth on the track."
Names have not yet been chosen for the girls but farah says that when they have been they will be inscribed on his Olympic medals.
His wife gave birth to their twins on Friday in London. Farah is now in Birmingham preparing to run in the Birmingham Grand Prix athletics meet.
Mo Farah wasorn in Somalia, Farah spent most of his early life in Djibouti and arrived in London when he was eight. He now proudly dsplays the British flag across his back whenever he wins a race being a proud British Somali and the nation love him for that!
