A zookeeper in Ivory Coast was dragged away by caymans while he was posing for a photograph at the request of tourists.

The zookeeper Toke Dicko was in his sixties and had been in the business for the last 36-years – he had been training his son to take over from him.
The terrible incident happened in the lake area of the capital Yamoussoukro.
Toke Dicko was famous as the ‘undisputed master of lizards’ in Yamoussoukro.
Augustin Thiam the governor of Yamoussoukro has said that suitable instructions would be issued to ‘forbid handlers from descending down to the caiman pit, even on tourist requests’ and, simultaneously, tourists would be requested not to propose the idea of photo-shoots to the handlers.
