He also said that President Benigno "Noynoy" Aquino III personally called Robredo’s wife to let her know about the bad news.
Roxas said that the body was found inside the plane which was at a depth of 180 feet. The plane’s fuselage was found at around 7:35 a.m. Tuesday, August 21, 2012. Robredo’s body was retrieved around 8: 15 a.m. The rescue attempt for the other two missing persons, the pilots, Captain Jessup Bahinting and Nepalese flight student Kshitiz Chand will now be a retrieval operation. Robredo’s body was in the passenger side so he was easily accessible for extract. The plane was inverted so the pilots’ bodies will take some time to get out.
