WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange made his first public appearance since he took refuge in the Ecuador’s embassy in London on June 19. He has recently been granted asylum by the Ecuadorean government. Speaking to media from a balcony of the Ecuadorean embassy, Assange told the US President Barack Obama to end the “witch hunt” against WikiLeaks website.

He also paid gratitude to all his supporters around the world and the Ecuadorean President and various Latin America countries. “I thank the staff and supporters of Wikileaks. I also thank the people of US, UK, Sweden for supporting me despite their govt being against me,” the Hindustan Times quoted him as saying. “To my family and children, we will be reunited soon,” Assange added.
