The movie world was saddened by the loss of another acclaimed and talented director. Director Tony Scott has died in an apparent suicide.
Tony Scott, 68, has died in an apparent suicide where he jumped from the Vincent Thomas Bridge. Reports also say a suicide note was found at Scott’s office so his death is being investigated as such. Scott’s death has been a huge shock to his family, friends and fans. They are requesting everyone to respect their privacy.
Witnesses say they saw a man jump from the bridge around 12:35 p.m. a dive team from the Los Angeles Port Police pulled Scott’s body from the water hours later. One lane of the bridge was closed for the investigation.
Scott is known for films like Top Gun, Days of Thunder, Crimson Tide, The Last Boy Scout, Beverly Hills Cop 2, True Romance, Man on Fire, The Taking of Pelham 123 and Unstoppable. Scott will be greatly missed. For more on this tragic news, go check out Yahoo! Movies.
