The Expendables 2 once again brings together the greatest action heroes over the last three decades, as mercenary Barney Ross (Sylvester Stallone) and his team seeks justice and revenge against Jean Vilain (Jean-Claude Van Damme) for the death of one of their own.

However, literally shooting the film wasn't an easy task, with the death of 26-year-old stuntman Kun Liu, which the film paids tribute to.

"Stuntmen take these wonderful risks every day, like police officers, like firemen" Terry Crews (Hale Caesar) told The Washington Post. "It would be a shame to not finish. And we kind of galvanized around that. That was a big moment for all of us, where we were like, 'Let's go'".

Kun Liu, a Beijing native, was killed in Bulgaria last fall during a stunt of a rubbing boat on a dam outisde the capital Sofia; he died from wounds of a near explosion.

His parents, Zong Yu Liu and Yan Mei Bei, are suing Millennium Films and stunt coordinator Chad Stahelski for negligence, and damages of more than $25,000.

"That is a nice and thoughtful gesture to the decedent and his family, but certainly it does not absolve the responsible parties of his death" Bill Karns, the couple's attorney, said in his statement.

The Expendables 2 are locking and loading in theatres.
