Brazilian Builder survives a 6 foot iron bar piercing skull

Brazilian construction worker wearing a hard hat survives a 6 foot iron bar on Wednesday , August 15 fell from five-story of a building under construction in Brazil and pierced the back of his head and exited between his eyes said doctors at Miguel Couto Hospital in Rio de Janeiro , reports Associated Press .

Leite’s wife, Lilian Regina da Silva Costa, told Associated Press “He was holding it and his face was covered in blood. His look was as if nothing had happened. When he arrived he told the doctors he wasn’t feeling anything, no pain, nothing. It’s unbelievable.”

The worker Eduardo Leite, 24, who arrived at the hospit conscious , underwent surgery lasted five hours.Shortly after the accident doctors have successfully removed the metal bar from his brian but he will stay in the Intensive Care Unit of the Hospital Municipal Miguel Couto for at least two weeks.

" Leite escaped by just a few centimeters from losing one eye and becoming paralyzed on the left side of his body." said Ruy Monteiro, the hospital’s head of neurosurgery , reports AP.
