Ameer, Jamaat e Islami, Pakistan, Syed Munawar Hasan, has said that the country was heading for anarchy due to the negative mindset of the rulers and the saboteurs and anti state elements were gaining strength. Addressing a large congregation of Jumatul Wida at Mansoora mosque, he said that there seemed to be no government in the country as lawlessness, dacoities, murders were on the rise and there was none to take them to task. Strongly condemning the target killing of the passengers of the Gilgit bound bus, the JI Ameer said that after Balochsitan, such incidents had also spread to other parts of the country which was alarming but the rulers were busy in other affairs. Syed Munawar Hasan said that as long as the rulers remained slaves of the US, the patron of India and Israel, neither Kashmir and Palestine would be liberated nor the oppression against the Muslims would end. He counseled the civil and military high ups not to provoke the masses by announcing military operations against the Haqqani net work in North Waziristan. .He said that in order to avoid Kamra air base like incidents, the country would have to pull out of the US war, permanently stop the NATO supplies and adopt independent foreign and internal policies. Syed Munawar Hasan said that the speech of the army chief a couple of days was quite good and indicated the army chief was aware of the serious situation in the country. But it was surprising that still he was fighting shoulder to shoulder with the US. He said the Kamra Airbase attack proved that the institutions meant for national security were not secure by themselves. He called upon the government and the army chief not to close their eyes to the all that was happening in the country and instead of blindly accepting those who claimed responsibility for the attack, holds a thorough inquiry into the happenings. He said the US war had caused incalculable harm to the country and its solidarity was in danger. The country’s image had been lowered. Pakistan, which had to face India and liberate Kashmir, was now declaring India as its most favourite country. Pakistan was fighting the enemy war and killing its own people. Referring to the problems of price hike and terrorism, the JI ameer said that Zardari and price hike went together. Similarly, target killings and extortion would continue as long as Zardari was there. He said that the JI was a movement for the supremacy of Deen and it believed that the solution of all our problems lies in the enforcement of the Islamic system.
