A Swansea woman, Beverley Jones, will be sentenced in September this year; for allegedly hitting her boyfriend in the face; with a wooden rolling pin. Ms Jones and boyfriend Michael Rees had a heated argument last year; Jones suspected Rees of having an affair with another woman. Jones will be sentenced following a psychiatric report.
According to the details, Ms Beverley Jones mistakenly suspected Michael Rees of being unfaithful to her. On the day of ‘attack,’ she allegedly told the 44-year-old to close his eyes; and wait for his early Christmas 'present.' However, what followed next; simply shocked poor Michael Rees. Jones, who was unable to digest a suspicious text she found on Rees’s phone few days ago, allegedly hit her ‘obedient’ lover, in the nose; with a rolling pin.
She had asked him to close his eyes, count to three; if he would like an early Christmas present, the court was told by Prosecutor Laura Carthew today. Laura further said in the Swansea Magistrates' Court that Ms Jones repeatedly whipped him, leaving Mr Rees with blood pouring down his face. Suffering from cuts and bruises, the victim was thus taken to hospital as Jones, from Swansea; hit him even over his head and one hand.
Jones eventually admitted assault causing actual bodily harm, before the court today. Ms Jones must have regretted her ‘acts’ later; when it emerged that Mr Rees never had an affair, as the text she found was actually from the girlfriend of Rees’s friend. Meanwhile, according to Jones’ solicitor; his client suffers from schizophrenia illness.
