Ameer Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam, Maulana Fazal-ur-Rehman has said the rulers want to appease the world by raiding madrassahs. In a telephonic talk with JUI leaders including Maulana Muhammad Yusuf, Maulana Muhammad Amjad Khan, Maulana Fayyaz-ur-Rehman Alvi and Maulana Meer Muhammad Meerak, Ameer JUI Fazal-ur-Rehman denounced raid of Rangers on Jamiah Dar-ul-Uloom Karachi. He said the rulers should remember that by opposing religious circles, the previous regime couldn’t retain its power. Meanwhile, Secretary General JUI, Senator Maulana Abdul Ghafoor Haideri, condemning the assault on Dar-ul-Uloom Karachi, said the government is sponsoring such raids in order to veil its incompetence regarding establishment of law and order in Karachi. The rulers are bowing down before the alien forces involving state institutions in wrongdoings and the attack on Dar-ul-Uloom Karachi is an episode of this, he added. Abdul Ghafoor Haideri said JUI would record its protest in and outside the parliament against such conspiracies. He claimed the rulers are provoking the masses by exploiting Rangers to raid the madrassahs and proposed that such incidents should be probed in a fair and transparent manner. He vowed that JUI would contest every conspiracy against madrassahs at every level.
