The Loch Ness Monster has been a thing of legend ever since it was photographed. Legend started back in the sixth century when it was first sighted by an Irish monk who was preaching by the lake. Now, a Scottish sailor dedicated his life searching for Nessie and after 26 years, he says he has taken his best photo of the elusive creature yet.

The sailor’s name is George Edwards who takes his boat, named Nessie Hunter, everyday to the lake to try to capture a photo or see Nessie up-close. Then, just recently, he got one of the best photos of Nessie yet. Edwards said that he saw something out of the corner of his eye and he immediately grabbed his camera and just shot away. He added that he had taken a very good photo of one of them.

In the photo, we can see one of the humps of the suspected Nessie. According to Edwards, the Loch Ness Monster is not what is famously described in the papers with three humps and a long neck. He said Nessie may be more close to a manatee but isn’t a mammal. The three humps may have been three Nessies swimming together. With regards to the creature being alone, Edwards says it can’t be true. One reason is that the first seen was back in 565 AD and no animal can live that long. There are probably a number of offspring from the original swimming the waters. He also said that a lot of monster hunters have debunked the Loch Ness Monster because they have yet to see solid evidence of its existence. They are saying that the countless searches have been conducted and no results ever came up. But Edwards said Loch Ness is a huge body of water with very deep caverns. We still don’t have the technology to completely search it.

Edwards is now 60 years old and he says he can’t do this forever. But with the new photo, it felt good seeing new solid evidence that strengthens his belief in Nessie. When the photo was released, a lot of people came out saying they have seen something similar to that. Edwards added that you have to be in the lake at the right time and in the right place with your camera and binoculars because Nessie can come out anytime and anywhere. Check out the photo above courtesy of Mr. George Edwards.
