Robin Van Persie transfer creates a lots of buzz as Manchester United signs Arsenal striker for £24m four year contract just four days to go before Premier League Saturday kickoff. Arsenal confirms the deal in a statement on their website,
"Arsenal Football Club can confirm that terms have been agreed for the transfer of Robin van Persie to Manchester United."
The Premier League best player of the year last season will travel to Manchester on Thursday in order to agree personal terms and complete a medical ahead of the proposed move Old Trafford.
The financial details were reported via BBC Sports that Manchester United have agreed a £24m deal to sign Arsenal striker Robin van Persie on a four-year contract. Further details of the deal is £1.5m one-off bonus to follow if they win a Premier League or Champions League title in the next four years.
The 29-year-old, Arsenal captain hinted earlier in July he would not extend his current deal, which expires in June 2013 prompted interest from the Premier League champions Manchester City and Juventus. But the serious suitor was Sirwho confirmed United's bid for Van Persie since July.
However, Arsenal never actually offered Van Persie a new contract. Van Persie will join United striker Shinji Kagawa who signed with the United early this summer. Alex Ferguson's team now is a strong contender to get the title back from their rival Manchester City.and Japan midfielder
Van Persie has a lots of achievement awards as a player, but he never had ring with Arsenal other than a runner-up in 2005 FA Cup final defeat of Manchester United.
