The latest development in the sequel plans for “Snow White and the Huntsman” might taste even bitter than the poised apple the little princess ate. Rumor has it that the sequel of this summer’s blockbuster fairytale movie will focus just on the Huntsman, starring Chris Hemsworth, while Kristen Stewart will not be invited to return to the franchise.
The 22-year-old fairy tale princess has already lost the man she loves and now sources close to the story say that the sequel of “Snow White and the Huntsman” won’t be featuring Kristen Stewart. Instead, the continuation of the story will be focusing on the Huntsman, played by Chris Hemsworth, who, unlike some others, is a good family man.
According to a report by Daily Mail, sources say that director Sanders will return to the franchise, but Stewart will not be joining him this time. While it is unclear why this move has been made, it comes in wake of the short-lived affair of Stewart with director Rupert Sanders while the “Twilight” actress was still dating her longtime British boyfriend, Robert Pattinson.
The original plan, according to the sources, was to make two films featuring the Snow White character and a third one spinning off the Huntsman. Nonetheless, it still remains unclear whether a sequel will ever get made in the first place. Universal Studios is currently looking for a new writer and the sequel may begin filming sometime next year because Hemsworth is already working on another project.
After being caught cheating, Stewart apologized to Pattinson in a public statement, but he asked her to leave their home in Los Angeles. This was the second time they parted their ways after first meeting on the set of “Twilight”, according to a report by The Telegraph.
Robert Pattinson has so far maintained his silence over the scandal, while Sanders’ heartbroken wife, Liberty Ross, has banned her husband from ever working with the actress again.
