Australian department store David Jones held their Spring/Summer 2012/2013 Season Launch at their store on Castlereagh Street in Sydney on August 14, 2012.
In their Womenswear fashion show David Jones featured numerous fashion labels including Romance Was Born, Easton Pearson, Gary Bigeni, Alannah Hill, Trelise Cooper, Sabatini, Roopa Pemmaraju, Akira, Kirrily Johnston, Carla Zampatti and Camilla.
Models including Miranda Kerr andHarris helped to present the stunning collection of dresses by Romance Was Born, which included colorful geometric patterns and cartoon super heroes.
Easton Pearson’s jade green and periwinkle blue scallop patterned skirt and top ensemble looked lovely on Samantha, which she accessorized with shoulder length dangling ball earrings.
Designer Gary Bigeni presented a striking colorblocked saffron and beige dress, topped off with a beige trench style coat, teamed with unusual ankle strap sandals.
Alannah Hill featured the tastiest selection of pastel dresses, including pale aquamarine green, embellished with embroidery, beading and lace. And the white lace dress by Carla Zampatti was pretty tasty as well!
Equally gorgeous was the floral print pink coat by Trelise Cooper, which topped an ivory colored lace dress. The pink floral chiffon maxi by Kirrily Johnston wasn’t bad either…
There is also a very elegant blue, black and white printed skirt suit with slightly mismatched yet complementary prints by Sabatini. The huge pink framed sunglasses should also be a hit!
The stunning work of designer Roopa Pemmaraju was also in the show, including the white dress with the multicolor geometric patterned skirt and sleeves, accessorized by the pompon necklace.
Akira’s very Japanese looking ensemble in shades of orange with black and white is certainly worthy of mention and interestingly, the outfit is also teamed with wooden wedge sandals. The chunky necklace makes quite a statement as well… And more interesting ethnic/tribal designs by fashion label Camilla – loved the hat! (you have to see this)
The slideshow of this remarkable fashion show by David Jones is well worth a look – enjoy! And while you’re at it, check out the David Jones Menswear collection and Miranda Kerr’s modeling for the fashion show as well…
