A three-member committee of parliamentarians on Friday met with the representatives of Hindu community in Jacobabad. The committee was formed by President Asif Ali Zardari after taking notice of media reports about the migration of Hindu families to India. The president had directed the committee to allay the community’s grievances and submit a report. Senator Moula Baksh Chandio, Senator Hari Ram, MNA Lal Chand, provincial minister Mukesh Chawla and others met with the Hindus’ representatives in Jacobabad. Later, Senator Chandio said false rumours are being spread about the Hindu families who are leaving for India to attend their religious ceremonies.
