“Three troops were died when a Pick up carrying security troops from Mir Ali, the second largest town of North Waziristan, to Bannu, overturned on Mir Ali bypass road” said a local official At Mir Ali battle camp adding that three troops were wounded too in the accident.

in some of the national and international media, the three troops killed in the accident were also included in the landmine blast but that was not true.

In another incident, on Bannu Miranshah Road, two soldiers of Pakistan security forces sustained serious injuries when a road side land mine exploded near Tanga Gurbaz area of FR Bannu.

After the explosion, Gunship Helicopter came to the spot and continued shelling over suspected places where several injured were reported including women and children but the local official rejected the reports.

The wounded soldiers were rushed to combine Military Hospital at Bannu, the adjacent settled area near North Waziristan Agency.

Both incidents took place on Sunday when curfew was imposed all over the North Waziristan Agency along with Bannu Miranshah Road for the movements of the security forces as routine.

It is mention worthy that curfew is imposed on regular basis on Sunday in North Waziristan and on Bannu Miranshah road for the last four years which has forced the people of the area to remain in their homes on Sundays while on the other hand the officials are of the opinion that curfew is imposed to ensure the safety of the civilians during the movements of the troops in the restive agency of North Waziristan.
