An X-Ray scanner at the Fiumicino airport in Rome spotted a man falling asleep on a baggage belt. The 36-year-old Norwegian tourist traveled 160 feet on the baggage belt before being spotted by the X-ray scanner, reported the Telegraph.
The man came to the airine desk to check in for a flight to Oslo. But no one was present to attend him at that time. He fell asleep on the baggage belt with his luggage beside him and traveled for 15 minutes through the secured area till being spotted by an X-ray scaner.
According to Italian newspaper, la Repubblica, the man whose name has not been released was intoxicated. He was reportedly seen carrying a backpack and a beer at the airport. He was later taken to a hospital due to his full body exposure to the X-rays. He is now facing charges, reported the Yahoo! News.
