PasirMas, Malaysia (Aug 9, 2012) : BukitTuku state assemblyman, Haji Abdul Fatah Harun yesterday handed over an electric wheel chair to Kelantan Boxing Association President Ramli Awang, 60, or more popularly known as Pak Usop.
Haji Fatah handed over the cair costing RM8,800 including a battery at his house in Kampung Chicha Tinggi near here witnessing by Pak Usop's wife Kamariah Salleh.
The chair is quiet sophisticated as it has a swicth at the ringt top corner on right hand rest, to enable the user turn or corner it even at sharp bend corner fastly.
The main reason for the assemblyman to give the wheel chair to Pak Usop to is to release him from the burden of difficultiy to walk properly since a few years ago due to diebetes
Because of the disease whic he suffered, the right foot of his leg was slashed down through a mini operation that caused Pak Usop could walk limpingly.
However, after he went to Mecca for Umrah and came back a few months this year his same foot once again suffered from the same disease and once more mini operastion has to do again.
As such he becomes obstacle to walk properly causing Haji Fatah to help him by buying such a chair to him.
Pak Usop and his wife Kamariah Salleh had appreciated and expressed many tahnks to the assemblyman for the concern and care that he gave to him.
"I'll try to make use of this chair especially as good as possible, especially for going to mosque near to his house for prayers and to visit my neighbours for chitchatting," Pak Usop said when met at his house on the day of handing over the chair to him yesterday (Wed 8 Aug 2012).
Haji Fatah, when met on the same day hoped wheel chair would lighten the burden of Pak Usop, especially his good intention for going to pray at the mosque and so on.
He said it is his responsibility as as political leader to look after peoples' problem, and give a quick responses if possible.
From Pak Usop's house Haji Fatah also went to visit another sick man, Wan Ibrahim Wan Yusof who suffered from suscpected dengue at the same village, Chicha Tinggi.
He came back from the Pasir Mas district hospital a day before from a ward in which he spent for three days for treatments.- ends.
