Eight time Grammy Award winning artist Barbra Streisand is a singer, actress, director, composer, and activist. She is also terrified of performing on stage. As a result her concert performances are rare and far between. Streisand has announced a small seven city, eight performance tour of North America this October. Jazz trumpeter Chris Botti and the Italian trio Il Volo will open for Streisand.

Oct. 29 at the Rogers Arena in Vancouver, British Columbia
The Brooklyn dates are sold out but tickets are available on the Internet at secondary ticket selling sites.
Over her long and successful career, Streisand is the only person to will an Academy Award, Tony Award, Emmy Award, Grammy Award, Directors Guild of America Award, Golden Globe Award, National Medal of Arts, a Peabody Award, the Legion d’Honneur Award from France, and the Lifetime Achievement Award from the American Film Institute. Streisand is also a Kennedy Center Honours member, is the only singer to have a number one album in five consecutive decades, has 51 gold albums, 30 platinum albums, 18 multi platinum albums, and according to the RIAA – Recording Industry Association of America has sold 71 million albums in the US.
