The United States cleared the group stage of the 2012 London Olympics as the only undefeated team in the field, going a perfect 5-0 against France, Tunisia, Nigeria, Lithuania and Argentina. The United States vs Australia Mens Olympic Baketball quarterfinals is underway at London basketball center. Top seeded USA is clear favorite against No. 4 seed Aussie team in 8-team knockout round. Australia started this tournament slow in losing 2 straight but bounce back winning their last three assignment ending 3-2 in Group B bracket, includes sneaking past Russia on a buzzer-beating 3-pointer by Patty Mills.

Russia beats Lithuania 83 - 74 and advanced the semis against Spain which won earlier 59 - 66 against France.

In other knockout games result Brazil lost to Argentina 77-82 as the Argentinians will face again the Americans in the semis.
