London 2012 Beach Volleyball Finals: All-USA Women's Prediction, Live Results

The Olympics Women's Beach volleyball Final is all set today between All-USA team of Kerri Walsh and Misty May-Treanor vs Ross April and Jennifer Kessy duo tandem.

Kerri Walsh Jennings and Misty May-Treanor are household names already as two women keep the tradition in the past 8 years in going to the Olympic finals for the third time. They faced their toughest challenge yet in London Olympics by defeating powerful No. 2 ranked Zhang Xi and Xue Chen of China in straight sets 22-20, 22-20 in the women's beach volleyball semifinals.

Getting this stage of their career sealed their legacy in the sport as Walsh and May-Treanor of USA will try defend their title for the 3rd time and they will do it against their fellow American team Ross April and Jen Kessy. Start time of the match is 21:00 BST or 4:00 p.m. EDT.

Meanwhile, April Ross and Jen Kessy survived the onslaught from top-seeded Larissa Franca and Juliana Silva of Brazil, in a dramatic comeback win, 15-21, 21-19, 15-12 in thrilling three sets. Kessy and Ross has the best offense in the tournament with 59 percent in kills and are good in serving aces.

In the third set against Brazil, Kessy sealed the game with a spike but before that she made crucial two kills making it 13-10 from 11-9. Brazil couldn't return a serve, making it 14-10 but give up after two successive save.

Aside from facing a well-experinced team, Ross and Kessy also run into the best defensive tandem in the tournament. Walsh Jennings leads all players in blocks with 21 and May-Treanor leads in digs with 92 with 7 per set. But beach volleyball is a game of wit, with a lot of space to cover, it's about placing the ball to blind spots on the court.
