Bible Verse of the Day

For the Lord takes delight in His people; He crowns the humble with victory.

Psalm 149:4

For the Lord takes delight in His people? What does that mean? What is delight and who are His people?

Let’s begin with the second part first… you and me.

So if it is you and me that is being referred to here, what does delight mean? I think we all have an idea, but let’s look at the dictionary definition.

Dictionary.com defines delight as:

1. a high degree of pleasure or enjoyment; joy

2. something that gives great pleasure:

God is pleased with us? yes

He takes great pleasure in us? yes

We are a joy to Him? yes

Even with all of our past and current sin? Yes

We are the apple of the Father’s eye, He is proud of who we are and who we are becoming. We do not have to do anything to achieve this, just accept it as truth and to live our lives as if it is true.

Do you accept it?

Do you live like the Father is pleased with you?

He is…. Don’t let the reminders and the lies of the enemy rob this identity from you. as I have said in the past our hardest daily battle is to hold on to the truth.

Hold on to this truth today.
