Al least 53 people killed in the Philippines after deadly Monsoon rains and a nearby tropical storm "Haikui" hits the country in the recent days paralyzed traffic and closed offices and schools , reports Reuters and Mail Online.

The most damage occurred in the Philippine capital city Manila and surrounding areas as at least a third of the capital's suburbs were submerged by neck-deep waters on Tuesday , August 7, forcing nearly 270,000 people to leave their homes across the country while hundreds of others stayed in emergency shelters said the state-run Philippines News Agency (PNA).
Meanwhile , the national disaster agency said nine members of same family were killed due to landslides in the Manila suburb of Quezon City including three children.
