The Flood Dog in Manila (Poem)

Overflow of water down the street

Allowing the water push

Deep within their crib,

As three dogs sail away for safety

Splash, the dog jumps within

Braving the flood to go back in

Sweet keeper swiftly pleading past her spaniel,

play within and swim causing ripples around

as flood dog heads home.

Dog in Manila Flood
A dog insist to brave the flood in swimming despite owner's insistence to use a boat. This dog in the flood was taken in Bulacan, just few miles North of Manila, is the lighter side as flooding brings chaos to Philippine capital. This happened as 50 percent of Manila was submerged under water and and around 250,000 people fled their homes on Tuesday as torrential rain paralysed the city, sweeping away houses, stranding residents on rooftops and triggering a landslide. At least 15 people were confirmed dead and nearby provinces suffered the most extensive floods since a typhoon Ondoy that killed hundreds three years ago. (Photo credit Facebook/Youscoop)
