A great white shark nearly 4-meters in length sighted a few kilometers from the shores of the Trigg Beach in west Australia has triggered a panic among the people.
However, the authorities of the city of Stirling have decided to keep the beach open in spite of fears of shark attacks.
This has been reported in perthnow.com.au of dated 6th of August 2012.
This decision has been criticized by renowned WA shark expert Hugh Edwards because the shark could easily covered the distance to the shore within 20 minutes.
The city councilors have justified their decision by saying that if the predator shark had been seen within 500 meters of the beach, the beach would have been closed.
The video footage of the 4m predator underwater was taken by Brett Dunn of Duncraig who was out fishing with his son.
