The Sacramento Banana Festival will celebrate it's 3rd Annual Festival August 18, 10am to 7pm and August 19th from 10am to 5pm at William Land Park located on Freeport Blvd-Sacramento, Ca 95823.
The main highlight this year is the Banana Bread Path
Members of nonprofit organizations will serve samples of their special Banana Bread recipes to visitors who get to stroll down a tropical path full of delicious Banana Bread and taste all the samples. After tasting all the delicious samples, festival goers can vote for the Banana Bread they like the best by putting $$ in the organization’s donation jar. The organization gets to keep all the money in thier jar and festival goers get to taste lots of Banana Bread. The festival committee have found that due to the economy a lot of local non-profits are struggling to support their efforts to benefit their communities. They believe as a collaborative, non-profits can pull together to make change to benefit everyone. They would like for the Banana Festival to be a catalyst to support local non-profits and their effort to benefit our communities. This year the festival will collaborate with eleven local non-profits to assist them in their fundraising efforts.
