has apparently been banned from the premiere of 's upcoming film, “Cosmopolis”, in the aftermath of her scandalous affair with Rupert Sanders.
The red carpet event of Pattinson’s film will take place in New York on August 13, ahead of the movie's limited release in the United States on August 17. But, according to RadarOnline, security staff has been instructed to keep Stewart away from the premiere as well as the after-party.
An inside source told RadarOnline, “Despite the fact Robert and Kristen have been communicating by cell phone, she will not be at the Cosmopolis New York premiere.”
The film executives are worried that Stewart could seize upon the opportunity to speak to Pattinson, leading to a possible media storm at the premiere.
The insider told the website, “Security was briefed and they were told that Kristen is not allowed anywhere near the red carpet or the after party. The decision was made because Robert just doesn’t want to see her.”
“There were fears that she could use it as a chance to talk to him in person and that sort of drama is not wanted at the premiere. There’s also the fact that if she did attend, it would distract from the film premiere itself and the movie bosses are not interested in that sort of publicity,” the source added.
The premiere will be 26-year-old Robert Pattinson’s first public appearance since news broke last month that his girlfriend of three years, Kristen Stewart, had cheated on him with “Snow White and the Huntsman" director Rupert Sanders. Pictures showing Stewart getting intimate with Sanders were published by Us Weekly in their 17th July issue.
On Thursday, a representative for Robert Pattinson denied rumors that the “Water For Elephants” star had pulled out of a media junket associated with his latest film.
“Cosmopolis is a film that Robert is very proud of and looks forward to supporting,” the rep confirmed to People magazine. “No confirmed engagements have been canceled. Any reports to the contrary are inaccurate.”
“Cosmopolis” is a film adaptation of the 2003 novel of the same name by Don DeLillo. It is directed byand also stars and Sarah Gadon.
