The sun rose like most every day

Those things of the past far away

This morning bodes fresh things to say

As once more I rise to this play

My senses say my love is there

Her scent brings a blossom to air

A kiss to remove worldly care

This dream that my heart now must bear

What winds wait to welcome the day

What songs will our love tell to air

One wonders will time really care

When seasons of rain come to play

I look toward my dream while it’s there

Its kisses are drifting away

Now silence has so much to say

And memories such pain to bear

I think now what started this play

The note on her pillow won’t say

Oh why did my love go away

The sun rose like most every day
