Dancing with the Stars All Star cast revealed

It is a show that has been 14 seasons in the making. When “Dancing with the Stars” returns for a fifteenth season on September 24, it will feature the All Star performers over the past 14 seasons – half of which have already raised the Mirrorball Trophy. DWTS returns for season 15 on September 24 at 8pm.

In a first for “Dancing with the Stars” the final contestant for season 15 of the competition Ballroom dance reality show has been left up to the fans. DWTS fans can log onto the ABC website – www.abc.com - and vote for Carson Kresley, Sabrina Bryan, or Kyle Massey. Fans get five votes per day and voting ends August 24.

The professional dance partners will be announced on August 13.

Meet the “Dancing with the Stars” season 15 contestants…

Olympic Gold medal winning speed skater and DWTS Mirrorball Champion Apolo Anton Ohno returns to the dance floor after his season four win.

Ohno is dedicated to helping children become healthier, is involved in a number of charitable endeavours, and has recently branched out into television as an actor and a reporter for the 2012 Summer Olympics in London.

Alaska’s most famous daughter Bristol Palin makes a return to DWTS as an all star after being eliminated in the finals on season eleven.

The single mother became an advocate for teen pregnancy prevention. She is also a reality television personality.

Broadway veteran and 98 Degrees singer and season two DWTS Mirrorball Champion Drew Lachey returns to the dance floor as one of the returning champions to pit his skills against his fellow champions and all stars.

Lachey was also a co-host with Tom Bergeron on DWTS for a short time and he hosted the dance reality competition “Dance War: Bruno vs. Carrie Ann”.

Former professional football player with the NFL, Super Bowl Champion, NFL Hall of Fame member, and season three DWTS Mirrorball Champion Emmitt Smith returns to the Ballroom to put his dancing skills to the test against some of his fellow champions.

Smith is the only NFL player to be a Super Bowl MVP, a NFL MVP, and a NFL Rushing Champion in the same season. He is also the NFL leading rusher with 18,355 yeard in 15 seasons.

French born model/actor and heartthrob Giles Marini returns as a fan favourite all star, after falling just short of the title in season eight, to twinkle his toes on the dance floor to the pitter-patter of female hearts. In June of this year, Marini is officially a French-American having earned his US citizenship.

Racing champion and DWTS season five Mirrorball Trophy winner Helio Castroneves returns to the Ballroom for a different kind of race.

Castroneves is in his thirteenth season as an open wheeled Indy Car for Roger Penske. He is a three time Indy 500 winner and the only Mirrorball Trophy winner who drives a racecar for his day job.

Former member of the award winning boy band N’Sync and season four DWTS finalist Joey Fatone returns to DWTS as a fan favourite all star.

Currently Fatone is the host and voice for a number of shows. He has also branched out into acting.

Actress and the original DWTS Mirroball Trophy winner Kelly Monaco returns to the Ballroom as an all star to compete against some of her fellow winners. While she has some tough competition for the second trophy, Monaco will always be known as the first winner of the now coveted glowing mantle piece.

Often known more for her bouncing ball battle with weight than her impressive dancing skills that almost got her the big prize in season 12, actress Kristie Alley makes a return to the Ballroom as a fan favourite all star.

In season 12 Alley was paired with Ballroom bad boy Maksim Chmerkovskiy and lost to football champion Pittsburge Steeler Hines Ward; this time around she’s looking to go all the way to hoist the trophy.

Once jilted bachelorette and former Dallas Cowboy Cheerleader Melissa Rycroft stepped in on very short notice after injuries caused a quick contestant change, Rycroft with partner Tony Dovolani took it all the way to the finals for a third place finish.

Rycroft has since been a co-host for the long running “Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve” and has appeared on “Good Moring America”.

Actress and former “baywatch” star Pamela Anderson returns to the Ballroom as a fan favourite all star.

Known as one of the “Baywatch” beauties and the wife of Motley Crue drummer Tommy Lee, Anderson is also a model, entrepreneur, writer, philanthropist, activist, spokesperson, designer, and mother.

Award winning Olympic gymnist and DWTS Mirroball Trophy winner Shawn Johnson joins the cast of former winners for the all star season of “Dancing with the Stars”.

When she hoisted the Mirrorball Trophy in season eight, Johnson was the youngest ever DWTS contestant at 17.
