Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge, Prince William and his immediate family attended the Eventing Cross Country Equestrian event earlier today, July 30, 2012, on Day 3 of the London 2012 Olympic Games at Greenwich Park to see cousin Zara Phillips compete as an Olympian.
The former Kate Middleton looked sporty in her favorite navy blue skinny jeans, a hip length white Team GB polo shirt and navy blazer, teamed with black espadrille wedges. Duchess Kate also wore black framed sunglasses with metallic detailing at the temples by Givenchy.
Husband Prince William wore a dark blue shirt (which he rolled up to the elbows) with a Team GB Olympic rings logo, an Adidas logo and a Union Jack patch on the left sleeve, pinning on a London 2012 pin next to the Team GB logo, teamed with pale Chinos. Aviators kept out the rays in the bleachers.
To the right of Duchess Catherine was seated Duchess Camilla, her (step) mother-in-law, dressed in a pink and white striped shirt, navy blue blazer and patriotic pins, accessorizing with cateye black sunglasses.
In the same row, left of William were Sebastien Coe, Prince Harry, Princess Eugenie of York and Princess Beatrice of York – all attired in navy blue as well!
In fact, William’s brother Prince Harry also wore the same shirt as William, teamed with dark trousers and aviators.
Cousin Zara Phillips, the 31-year-old daughter of Kate’s father-in-law Prince Charles’s sister Anne, rode her horse High Kingdom, negotiating obstacle after obstacle – quite the horsewoman!
Zara, who had made her Olympic debut yesterday during dressage, just managed to complete the cross-country run in nine minutes and 55 seconds, in the 10 minutes and three seconds she was allotted! A close call but handled like a pro!
Take a look at Kate, William, Zara competing and the rest of the royals in my slideshow…
