"Saved by the Bells" star Mark Paul Gosselaar is officially off the market. The 38-year-old hunk tied the knot with fiancée Catriona McGinn in front of friends and family on Saturday at a winery in California.
One year after popping the question to his lady love, advertising executive Catriona McGinn, the couple exchanged vows at the Sunstone Winery in Santa Ynez, California, a source confirmed to People magazine.
Mark Paul Gosselaar announced his engagement to Catriona in August of last year. He gave his fiancée a five-carat, cushion-cut diamond ring, custom designed by Neil Lane. "Catriona's absolutely gorgeous. She's stunning," Gosselaar gushed of his bride-to-be to Us Magazine last year. "And she takes my breath away!"
Esteemed celebrity jeweler Neil Lane worked together with Gosselaar to design the engagement that Gosselaar used to pop the question to McGinn back in July 2011. Lane told reporters after the engagement that, “He was delightful to work with, it’s always a treat to work with a true romantic.”
Lane, who also designed the couple's wedding bands, told People magazine that Gosselaar was very happy at the time he chose the engagement ring. "He was so excited to have found the woman of his dreams. He couldn't wait to propose!" Lane said.
This will be the second marriage for Gosselaar who was previously married to Lisa Ann Russell for more than 14 years. Their divorce was finalized last year in May. He has two children with Russell, 8-year-old Michael and 6-year-old Ava.
"Catriona's great with my kids," Gosselaar told Us Magazine. "My kids absolutely adore her."
The "Franklin & Bash" star said he was very involved in planning for his wedding ceremony. "I'm too type-A to let it happen around me," he told People in an exclusive statement prior to the nuptials. "We're trying to make it as traditional as possible. It's going to be fun!"
The newlyweds are now headed off to Italy for their honeymoon, People said in a report. "Trust me, we are going to eat our [expletive] off!" he said elatedly. "We're really excited about that element."
Mark Paul Gosselaar played Zach Morris on the '90s sitcom "Saved by the Bell." His other TV credits include “NYPD Blue” and “Raising the Bar.” The actor currently stars as Peter bash on TNT's "Franklin & Bash" alongside former "Clueless" star Breckin Meyer.
