Oxford University has introduced a new academic dress code to please its transgender students. The new dress code allows men to wear skirts or stockings in exams and formal occasions. Women are also permitted to wear suits or white bow ties in the new dress code.

According to the old dress code, it was mandatory for male students to wear a dark suit with dark socks, black shoes, a white bow tie and a plain white shirt and collar beneath their black gowns in formal occasions, reported the Daily Mail.
