Boxing champ Manny “Pacman” Pacquiao let out his public service side when his constituents in Sarangani became victims of an earthquake and massive flooding. He decided immediately to go back to General Santos City to give aid to the victims.
All of Pacquiao’s commitments and plans in Los Angeles were put on hold so that he could get back to the Philippines and help out his constituents. Sarangani province was recently hit by flashfloods, a tornado and a magnitude 5.9 earthquake. The quake was felt by different areas in Mindanao.
Reports from the military are saying that at least 88 people are missing. Another 700 families were displaced by the flashfloods which hit the towns of Glan and Maasim. Victims were said to be staying in relief centers and barangay halls. But they were not crowding the said areas. Pacquiao is scheduled to travel directly to General Santos upon arriving in Ninoy Aquino International Airport.
