Serena Williams returned to a familiar stage at the London Olympics today. Her first match of the Summer Olympic Games took place on center court at Wimbledon, the scene of so many of her biggest triumphs in tennis. Serena appears to be picking up where she left off after winning the singles title at Wimbledon. She easily handled former #1 Jelena Jankovic in straight sets 6-3, 6-1 to advance to the second round. Serena has never won gold in singles at the Olympics but has struck gold twice in doubles with sister Venus.
