It was akin to a windfall when an ATM in Ipswich began to dispense double the money that one wanted and there was a mad rush to avail of the freebies before someone got wise or the stock ran out.
The incident occurred at the cash vending machine at the Nacton Road Lloyds TSB in Ipswich.

It seems some 30 persons benefited from this largesse before remedial action was taken by the police and Bank authorities.
It seems there was a similar incident last month when an ATM in Sainsbury's central London started to pay out ‘double money’ – the fault was quickly located and rectified.
The concerned employee had accidentally loaded the 10 pound tray with 20 pound notes.
