Competitor Paraskevi Papachristou has been dislodged from Greece's Olympic group for posting an offensive remark about African immigrants on Twitter, a crew spokeswoman said Wednesday.

She post remarks on twitter as "With so many Africans in Greece, the mosquitoes from the West Nile will at least be eating some homemade food,"

The official banned her by saying "She make a mistake, but it is unforgivable".

The olympics are over for the Greec's Tripple Jumper. Later after finding the decision from officials she ask sorry.

She makes her statement on facebook as "I would like to express my heartfelt apologies for the unfortunate and tasteless joke I published on my personal Twitter account,".

"I am very sorry and ashamed for the negative responses I triggered, since I never wanted to offend anyone, or to encroach human rights. "

"My dream is connected to the Olympic Games and I could not possibly participate if I did not respect their values. Therefore, I could never believe in discrimination between human beings and races."

But for her the hopes for medal were gone.

All these statement after somebody tweets something inappropriate are ridiculous. Papachristou did offend somebody, so don't tell me she didn't want to. Great report.
