Big Live, the award winning, content streaming, social platform, launches a new, user-friendly website design. Now, in addition to its Premium service, which was previously only available to top brand clients, such as DKNY, Playboy and The Tribeca Film Festival, the company offers a free, ad-supported service for consumers, as the brand continues to rapidly expand its user base.
BigLive.com now sports a simplified, more intuitive design with a new “My Channel” feature, which allows users to create their own channel and broadcast shows. Once a channel has been created, the user can import YouTube content, stream a Livestream event or host a two screen viewing party where their friends, fans and followers can watch TV and simultaneously chat about the show. Premium users still have the ability to broadcast other categories of content, such as personal player embeds, Pay-per-view broadcasts or sponsored events, and have access to additional features and support.
“The platform is ideal for anyone who wants to build their brand and social following inexpensively, such as YouTube celebrities, musicians and bloggers,” says Big Live CEO Jon Zakin. “The goal of the redesign is to encourage people to build their own channels and broadcast on their web properties or their own Big Live stage. This self-service capability increases our ability to scale and serve more users.”
To date, a number of large YouTube celebrities including Weekly Chris and JaackMaate have set up channels and are broadcasting daily.
