Colorado Shooting - Gordon Cowden's Funeral

The first funeral service for one of the victims who killed at the midnight movie showing of the new Batman movie "The Dark Knight Rises." in Aurora , Colorado , begins at Pathways Church in Denver , reported CNN.

Gordon Cowden ,51 , the oldest victim of the massacre and father of four children was the first victim to be liad to rest , as the ceremony began on Wednesday morning (11: am Local time) at Pathways Church. As he originally from Texas , a separate memorial service will be held in Austin at 11 a.m. on July 27 .

Cowden was described as a "true Texas gentleman" by his family in a statement : "Loving father, outdoorsman and small business owner, Cowden was a true Texas gentleman that loved life and his family.

Nine miles away, The funeral of Micayla Medek , 23 years , another victim of the shooting , will be held from 2 to 9 p.m. today 25 July
