Mitt Romney says health care penalty is a tax

According to a poll conducted by The Wall Street Journal and NBC, the incumbent US President Barack Obama is ahead of his Republican contender Mitt Romney- Obama has 49% votes in his favor to remain in the White House while only 43% Americans prefer Romney.

This has been reported in zeenews.india.com of dated 25th of July 2012.

In the states of Colorado, Florida, Iowa, Michigan, Nevada, New Hampshire, New Mexico, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Virginia and Wisconsin, Barack Obama led over Mitt Romney 8 points – 49 to 41. This has not changed from June-2012.

This situation has happened due to several factors like - the U.S. Supreme Court decision upholding Obama’s health care overhaul and the favorable jobs report for June-2012 which showed that just 80,000 jobs were created last month.

An incumbent President with less than 50% "favorables" is not in a good position. The electorate knows him and knows what he has done, and sill less than half would re-elect him. The challenger, on the other hand, is largely unknown by 40% of voters. There is time and opportunity for him to get people to know him and what he stands for. Buckle up, folks.
