Richest People in America

Liberal Democrats continue to get rich exploiting the black and Latino vote, yet blacks & Latinos act as if Republicans are the party of the rich.

For the better part of the past four months, President Obama and his campaign strategists have poured tens of millions of dollars into negative ads trying to tie together Republicans, Mitt Romney, Bain Capital and the “Rich 1% of America or those that make over $250,000 a year." Yet Jay -Z, Oprah Winfrey, Warren Buffet, Bill Gates , Larry Ellison or Jim Walton, who are all Democrats and all have more money than many small countries, escape the wrath of the angry 99%. Why?

Obama and his braintrust have in essence tried to demonize success and have argued that only government is responsible for any of your successes. They point to the hundreds of workers who were laid-off during Romney’s stretch as CEO of Bain Capital and the thousands of jobs that were outsourced to foreign countries as some sort of empirical evidence as to why a Romney presidency would not bode well for the middle and poor class. Can anyone on this site or for that matter anyone anywhere explain to me what did government have to do with Jay-Z's or Oprah Winfrey's success?

It is becoming very clear that upon further scrutiny by many Republicans, Independents, economists, Democrats, scholars and anyone willing to call out or fact check the president on his claims, that nothing could be further from the truth . The party that has benefitted the most from keeping Latinos & blacks in the dark and on the entitlement plantation, has been liberal Democrats.

This is the reason you don’t see Obama surrogates like Nancy Pelosi, Harry Reid, Hillary and Bill Clinton, John Kerry or Jay Rockefeller – who by the way have a combined net worth of $447 million -- dollars taking swipes at Romney’s net worth. They understand that this line of criticism has no merit, especially when the majority of the wealthiest politicians, entertainers & Hollywood types in this country are Democrats. The Party of Wall Street, the party of General Electric and the party of big government. The very same people that are always claiming they have the best interest in the less fortunate and downtrodden of America. The same owners of companies like General Electric that continue to export and ship out jobs overseas. They are the likes of Pelosi, Reid, Corzine, Kerry and even Obama himself who continue to rake in millions of dollars exploiting the black & Latino vote. It is the Latinos and blacks who continue to sell their votes and souls in return for entitlements and handouts without a care that the unemployment numbers in many instances far exceeds the 20 percent mark for many minorities.

Nancy Pelosi makes millions every year because she has access to insider information that would have been illegal for an average citizen to trade with – even though it’s perfectly legal for elected officials. Former Democratic U.S. senator and N.J. Gov. Jon Corzine made $1.6 billion dollars of client money disappear during his tenure as CEO of MF Global, a derivatives and commodities brokerage firm. Yet ,the very same people scrutinizing Romney’s finances have failed to demand answers from these crooked pols. Is Democratic Sen. John Kerry, who has an estimated net worth of $200 million dollars, part of the filthy rich “1 percent” of America, or is he exempt because he has a D in front of his political affiliation?

The employment rates for many young black and Latinos is among the highest in the country. Many of these districts are represented by Democratic congressman and senators who continue to take the black & Latino vote for granted, all the while lining their pockets to the tune of millions of dollars. When the focus should be on why Obama and this administration continues to spend taxpayer dollars on companies that outsource jobs overseas while the jobs are needed here, many continue to look the other way and try to find blame elsewhere..

The president's own personal investment choices clearly show his support for companies that outsource jobs. Recent financial disclosures indicate that the Obama’s have monies tied to funds that as a matter of business practice outsource jobs overseas. Where is the outcry from the people criticizing Romney for his business practices?

The president’s campaign strategists know that there are enough uninformed voters out there to get him re-elected, and with a big assist from the mainstream media he can continue to exploit the black and Latino vote. He knows he can continue to say stupid things like “ you didn’t get there on your own, your success is not yours." He can continue to campaign and golf and not attend any jobs counsel meetings, but he can’t hide his record over the past three years. His record will be his undoing in November.

If there is any sign of any light at the end of the Obama re-election tunnel it a poll released today by The Hill shows that the majority of Americans now blame Obama for slow recovery and bad economy.

If you like to write about U.S. politics and Campaign 2012, enter "The American Pundit" competition. Allvoices is awarding four $250 prizes each month between now and November. These monthly winners earn eligibility for the $5,000 grand prize, to be awarded after the November election.

You're right about the idea that Pres. Obama shouldn't attack former Gov. Romney on his business record. Romney's Mormon faith is what should be really attacked. Why should any Blacks or Latinos vote for Romney when he believes that people of color are cursed? (II Nephi 5:21-25, Book of Mormon) Are you going to vouch for a man, Redhanded, who believes that you are cursed because you are Latino?

@adrian,

You have a President in the White House that sat in the Pulpit of Hate for 20 years listening to Reverend Wright Preach & Practice Black Liberation Theology, Marxism, Socialism and general hate towards Americans (Remember Goddamn America).
This election is not about religion, it will about the direction that this President wants to take the country in and about the economy. On that front, Mitt Romney offers the best hope.
Posted By ahol888 Adrian Holman | 11 months ago
Mitt Romney = Pres. Herbert Hoover 2.0. For me, it's about religion. I know that Rev. Wright is a scrub. However, Mormonism is a way worse religious choice for one to make. You are going to vote for man who believes that Jesus Christ was a polygamist. You are going to vote for a man who believes that people of color should remain subordinate to Mormons. When you vote for Romney, then you are voting against yourself and against your Latino heritage.

@adrian,

Eldridge Cleaver - Black Presidential candidate on the Freedom & Peace Movement in the 70's didn't think it was a problem. Harry Reid US Democrat Senator has been re-elected a few times and he doesn't seem to have a problem with it.

I think you are pulling at straws to find any flaws with Mitt Romnney
Reply By ahol888 Adrian Holman | 11 months ago
I'm not pulling straws. You just wrote an article voicing your support for a man who believes that you are inferior because you are Latino. The only reason that Sen. Reid is even a US Senator is because Nevada has a large Mormon population. Sen. Reid is a scrub as well; he's spoken racist crap in the past as well. Second, in regards to Cleaver, any Black person that is a Mormon has been brainwashed into believing that they are inferior. Break away from the inferiority complex and do not support anyone that is affiliated with Mormonism.

Adrian,

You are blinded by your own biases. Cleaver, had unfortunately fallen victim to drug. But he was considered brilliant by many. And, for someone who would run for any office at all, there is no chance that he would consider himself inferior.

Please find a way out of your blinding bias.

America is way too divided and the trains shall never meet. No one should be judged because race or colour. All that matters is whether or not they can move the country forward. In other words can the prospective President lead and unite people.

Romney worked with a Democratic State House in MA and apparently he still got things done. So the question is can he bring Democrats and Republicans together should he occupy the oval office?

Gimmicks are not what is needed now, there needs to be a serious debate on the economy, taxing and foreign policy, instead of the constant sound bytes demonizing the other side.

Both Romney and the President need to lay out their plan and then discuss the issues during the debate. We also don't need tricks from media moderators anymore. Why not have a free flowing debate and let the cards fall where they may.

Good report, the Unemployment rate for African Americans is around 14%, while Latino is about 11%.

@moonstroller - you said in a previous comment that the Canadians cancelled it. Just because the Opposition parties, like the left wing NDP think it hurts Canadian manufacturing in central Canada like Ontario and Quebec, doesn't make it a cancellation by Canadians. I have been involved with this issue since the onset my friend. If you research something you need to get the whole story not just the ones that show there is some division on the Alberta Oilsands. Heck every environmentalist is opposed to the Alberta oilsands.

The pipeline was clearly rejected by President Obama and he used the Nebraska Sand Hills as his excuse. Canada has no say in what happens in the U.S. and when a pipeline crosses the border it needs presidential approval.

So I would suggest that you do your research on the XL Keystone Pipeline. Did you know that the President supports the building of the Southern portion of the pipeline from Cushing, OK to Port Arthur, TX, which TransCan pipelines has said it will go ahead with?

I have a series of articles on the pipeline issue in my blog albertacowpoke.blogspot.ca most of them published in May and April. They are an accurate reflection of the Keystone issue. You will also find a story there on Thomas Mulcair opposing the pipeline. Good luck.

That is, why I think the ‘Keystone Vision’ is an Economic Mirage.

If I owned an oil company, why would I cheapen the prices of gasoline to the average consumer in the US when I can sell that Gasoline overseas for four times the price? That's bad business really.

The oil sands in Canada will not benefit the Citizens of the United States for any great length of time, nor will it make the cost of gas go down. It will have a sever environmental impact if something goes wrong and the devastation caused by oil is duly recorded in the history books with the recent one being in the Gulf of Mexico.

It's not the president of the United States that is causing problems, it is the Internet that connects people together and allows us to properly research these projects and evaluated them in our own minds.

It is also the greed of those who want these projects to move forward, so much in fact, that they don't properly read their own ads and information they serve to the public. We can see the lies.

The public is becoming increasingly more scientific minded and developing skills in Internet research. The average Grandmother has mastered the Browser and can find the answers to her questions and no longer has to take the word of her Pastor or local governmental representative to satisfy her questions. She can do her own spreadsheet, thank you very much.

Soft sale is dead. Facts that can be easily proven rule the day.

Your are correct Karl, I totally agree. The real point is the combination of opposition from both countries have killed it. This is not to say it won't become an issue in the near future.

To infer that Obama alone killed this issue is just as silly. If the majority were for it, it would severely hurt his reelection possibilities.

Small financial groups that stand to benefit from these types of engineering projects want us to think that it will benefit a large number of people when it will only serve a few. Because of the Internet, this method of mind control is becoming increasing hard to sell.

I have no doubt your site is focused on selling the average mind to the idea that the pipeline is a good thing. I see ads from the major oil companies every day telling us how green their efforts are, even though I can find many more sites showing pictures of the devastation that their companies do to the environment, not just in our country but around the world.

The President did what we asked him to do. As president, that is his function if he really cares about what the Citizens of this country think.

Here is a website that clearly delineates how I feel about the pipeline and it's affects on the financial well being our our country. That is, why I think the ‘Keystone Vision’ is an Economic Mirage.

It took the previouse adminstration 8 years to put us on this downhill cart ride.

You expect the President to stop the cart, turn it around and push it up the hill and make it move up hill again in only 4 years?

Get real and quit crying about the way things are. It's going to take real work with massive cooperation from both sides. I say we give Obama 4 more years and see were the cart lands. Let's hope he with the cooperation of the Republican congressmen (They have failed to cooperate as of yet) can just stop the cart's nose dive into fiscal oblivion.

If our government can stop the cart. The people can push it uphill again.

Moon,

Obviously this is the first time you pay attention to presidential politics and the economy. Unfortunately, you speak without doing your research. If you actually want to know the truth you will find that every president faces good time and bad time. It's part of a natural cycle. But good presidents tend to lift the economy sooner than bad ones.

Bush inherited the internet bubble from Clinton. The difference is that the housing bubble burst before his term was up. The economy grew under Bush for 7 years. His mistake, he allowed the price of oil and gasoline to grow too fast in 2008, which was the pin that burst the bubble.

I'd say I pay attention quite well. I might also add that every person I voted for became the president, except for Bush 1 and Bush II.

You have your facts all askew little friend. Bush Inherited the largest US surplus of an president and blew it all away in his first four years. He then put us in the worst financial shape we've seen since the Great Depression. It's all history. Check it out.

@ Redhanded. You have been caught lacking the truth on your side . Your type of turning the facts around won' fly because most people on the net have been too well educated to the facts.

You might try some other technique.

You can point the finger at the Republican House, but that fails to take into account that this President had complete control of Congress for the first two years in office. Let's not forget what caused this financial crisis. It was the housing bubble with loan guarantees for people that couldn't afford them in the first place, which then resulted in bundling. What happened to the almost $Trillion deficit? Nobody even knows where this money went.

Three and a half years make this the President's economy. To keep pointing the finger at the last Administration is not leading. Leadership would have also brought the President to the table to work on compromises with the GOP House.
Reply By moonstroller moonstroller | 11 months ago
There are a few uneducated people who continue to blame the housing crash on the people who purchased the home in the first place. Those people lost their homes because the monthly pmt went up, sometimes double or triple what it was when they first purchased it. It was bad lending practices, not bad home buyers that caused the collapsed.

Why should any administration work on compromise with the GOP. It's been almost four years and no one knows what their recommendations for putting the economy back on its feet are. Do you know what their plans for economic recovery are? If so, let the rest of us know

@moostroller,

It took this President less than 3 years to rack up twice the amount of debt that the Bush admin had in 8 years. He has taken taxpayer dollars and used them for political paybacks instead of putting Americans to work. He has done everything in his power to choke of small business and halt all oil production in this country. Remember the XL Oil Pipeline from Canad to Texas that would have created millions of high paying jobs?
Sarah Palin would have done ten times better job. THis has been one of the all time worst Presidents of all time.
Reply By moonstroller moonstroller | 11 months ago
Why don't you list one of those political paybacks Redhanded?

Oil production in this country halted during the 70's. You're a bit behind times with this knowledge.

As for the Pipeline. You might try reading wikipedia on the facts:

"...TransCanada Corporation proposed the project on February 9, 2005. In October 2007, the Communications, Energy and Paperworkers Union of Canada asked the Canadian federal government to block regulatory approvals for the pipeline, with union president Dave Coles stating that 'the Keystone pipeline will exclusively serve US markets, create permanent employment for very few Canadians, reduce our energy security, and hinder investment and job creation in the Canadian energy sector'..." ~ wikipedia.

The Canadians killed it. Obama just did his duty as president. Any president would have to do the same thing.

Sara Palin is a joke as a presidential hopeful. Anyone who doesn't recognize this by now is not keeping up with the rest of us.

Well, I showed you the facts. Look to your own newspapers for the facts. We can read them from here in the States.

http://www.vancouversun.com/technology/Palmer+Political+wrangling+could+bury+pipeline+good/6984455/story.html

While Alberta is good to go, the rest of Canada thinks the pipeline will enrich only a few and put the environmental burden on All Canadians.

Believe it or not, We can read here in the United States and we do. We not only read, we research. Research has fast become the dominate mind mover since the Internet became the great source of information it is. Those who try to use their swift boat tactics to mislead the common Citizen are icons of an era gone by. They are archaic.

If you got some facts, show them to us because I just goggled your comments and found them to be wholly false.

Every Canadian newspaper I goggled clearly showed a great divide among the Canadian people about the Pipeline.

Swift Boaters insult the intelligence of the average American.

@moonstroller,

THe Political Paybacks went primarily to Union thugs, car makers & Democrat states that backed in the election.
He bailed out GM & Chrysler as a favor to the unions and most of the Stimulus money went to Blue states. That is a matter of fact and you can research that anywhere and you will see the facts.

@moonstroller,

"The Canadians killed it. Obama just did his duty as president. Any president would have to do the same thing."

This is quite the statement. Living in Alberta this is absolutely news to me. The XL Keystone Pipeline did not get killed by the President?

The XL Keystone Pipeline, which would carry Ablerta crude from Hardesty, Alberta to Port Arthur, TX was rejected by President Obama, after months of protests by his Hollywood starlet rich friends in Washington, DC.

That statement you quote by Energy and Paperworkers is supposed to by what President Obama acted on? Is he now interested in how many jobs are created in Canada? The Canadian government certainly would not have blocked regulatory approvals. They have no jurisdiction in the United States and it is the US President that needs to issue the presidential certificate for pipelines crossing the border.

What an absurd statement: "The Canadians killed it."
