Bible Verse of the Day
“Good will come to those who are generous and lend freely, who conduct their affairs with justice.
As I initially read this, I was only thinking of it in monetary terms. But as I continued to think about it, I began to see it from a different perspective.
What if you read this as to be generous and lend freely with the topic of grace to one another. I am not talking about a lack of accountability but rather a “pardon” attitude amongst God’s children. Let me clarify, if a person steals something it is appropriate that they pay the punishment for what they did whether that is to give restitution or to serve time in one form or another, but the way others look at them and respond to them.
Will you always label them a thief or will you have grace to know that they have brokenness that the Father is coming to heal and treat them accordingly?
Will you treat them generously with grace and lend freely (without expectation) to them the love of God that flows through you?
If you do what good will come from it?
Ask the Father to answer this for you today… Who are You calling me to reach out to in grace and love, and what good can come from this?
Tomorrow we will look at this passage again.
Have a grace and love filled day,
