It was a sort of shock for 33-year old Coty Creighton when he saw a goat man.
Coty was on a hike along Ben Lomond peak in the mountains above Ogden, about 40 miles north of Salt Lake City, Utah when he came across a herd of wild goats in which there was this goat-man.
This has been reported in nzherald.co.nz of dated 23rd of July 2012.
Coty tried to catch the details through his binoculars and noticed that the man wore a costume which had fake horns and a cloth mask with holes cut out in it for the eyes.
He also behaved like a goat – walking on all fours and jumping over the rocky terrain as a goat normally does.
Phil Douglass, an official of the Utah Division of Wildlife Resources agreed that the goat-man was not doing anything illegal, but he should be careful of the dangers involved.
It being the goat hunting season, some hunter could mistake him for a real goat - that would be tragic.
Also – he could be attacked by real goats in case they find out that he was not one of them but an imposter!!
