Heavy and unprecedented rains lashed China and the downpour, believed to have been the heaviest in the last 60 years, have left behind at least 10 dead in Beijing.

The widespread rains flooded the streets, brought traffic to a standstill and left more than 80,000 persons stranded at the main airport in the city of Beijing. More than 500 flights had to be cancelled at Beijing's Capital International Airport.
The underpasses also were flooded creating problems to movement.
Deaths have been reported from electrocution, roof collapse, and drowning.
People have posted videos of the storm, rain and floods in the ‘Sina Weibo’, a popular micro blogging site of China.
